Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009

Entertaining fans for decades,
with a sequined glove in hand,
a trademark scream,
50 years passed.. an abrupt end.

He made it hip,
to learn our ABC's,
he taught us how,
to Blame It On The Boogie.

He grew,
he couldn't stop till he had enough,
that was the beginning,
he just had the right stuff.

Off The Wall,
he then turned Bad,
ironically telling us,
to Beat It instead.

He made it possible,
to dance backwards with style,
shocking all viewers,
when the Jackson 5 reunited for a while.

He made it decent,
to grab his crotch,
with his toes upon the ground,
like a ballerina's touch.

Everyone wanted to be a zombie,
when he danced with the undead,
denying he had a son,
when Billie Jean was made.

We Are The World,
fed millions all around,
singing You Are Not Alone,
echoing the message in its sound.

He wanted to Heal The World,
he made it a better place,
he made it possible,
with his artistic ways.

He was a Dangerous entertainer,
simply excellent beyond good,
but still he wanted us,
to look into his Childhood.

He made us realise,
to make this world better,
in order to make change,
we have to look at the Man In The Mirror.

Over time,
he became a victim,
of cruel tabloids,
and the media attention.

He was cruelly barraged,
with words of fire and stone,
and now finally,
he could be left alone.

We echoed Marlon Jackson's sentiments,
When you left us,
a part of us left with you,
but a part of you,
will live on with us forever.

A sobbing Paris said she loved you so much,
and so do we,
may your legend live on,
you made it great for you and me...

Live on MJ.
