The Man Who Can't Be Moved... Needs to move on

I walked into a corner,
looking for something to eat,
I saw a guy in a sleeping bag,
with a cardboard at his feet.

He seems to be waiting,
for a long while for this girl,
who has simply moved on,
and is no longer in his world.

I told him,"why don't you move on?
there's many more fishes in the sea?
do not be a stinky hobo,
at the corner of the street".

Well I guess he's just too broken hearted,
he can hardly even comprehend,
he doesn't have to wait by the side,
if he has a phone in his hand.

she may still be missing you,
but what if she has totally moved on,
and you do not have a clue?

You're still waiting at that corner,
haven't showered or eaten for weeks,
is this your destiny waiting all the while,
for some uncertainty...

The policeman has kindly told you,
to move off away from there,
before he gets all rough,
he wouldn't even care.

Can you imagine,
if she did came back to you,
with you as a stinky hobo,
she might just run away from you.
